Terms of service
The rules for using Figurekeep and buying Pro, in plain language.
Version 2, effective October 27, 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Figurekeep LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company ("Figurekeep", "we", "us"). By using figurekeep.com or the Figurekeep app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Figurekeep.
1. What Figurekeep is
Figurekeep is software that runs in your web browser. It helps you turn images you provide into printable paper miniatures, cutting-machine files and related files. We sell software only: you print and make your minis yourself. Your images are processed on your device and are never uploaded to us (see the privacy policy).
2. Free and Pro
You can use Figurekeep free, with the limits described on the pricing page (for example, watermarked downloads of one mini at a time). Figurekeep Pro removes the watermark and raises those limits. We may change which features are in Free or Pro over time; if we remove a Pro feature you paid for, we will tell you and offer a fair remedy, such as a pro-rated refund.
3. Buying Pro
Pro is not on sale yet; these terms apply once it is.
- Payment. Our payment partner sells Pro to you as merchant of record. It processes payment, charges any sales tax and issues receipts, and its own buyer terms also apply to the purchase.
- Every plan is a subscription (monthly, yearly or every 2 years) and renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time through the link in your receipt email or our payment partner's customer portal; Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for. We will tell you in advance of any price change, and it applies from your next renewal.
- Refunds follow our refund policy.
4. Your licence key
Your licence key is your account: keep it private. One key may be active on up to 3 of your own devices at a time, for use by you. Don't share, resell or publish keys. We may deactivate a key that is shared publicly, used to get around the device limit, or bought fraudulently.
5. Your art and what you make
You keep whatever rights you have in the images you bring and the files you make, apart from our built-in art inside them, which section 6 licenses to you. We claim no ownership of your images or your files, and we never see them unless you choose to share one with us. You are responsible for having the right to use the images you load into Figurekeep. Read Your art and rights for practical guidance. Free downloads carry a small Figurekeep watermark; please don't remove it from free downloads.
6. Personal and commercial use of what you make
The files you make can include Figurekeep's built-in art and designs: token rings, crests, ornaments and effects, base and stand templates, character sheet templates and themes, and our example characters. We license them to you as part of what you make, as follows. Commercial use explains this with examples.
- Free: personal, non-commercial use. You may use what you make in your own games, with friends, in games you run for pay, and post it online.
- Pro: personal use, plus commercial use of what you make from art you have the rights to. You may sell printed minis, PDFs, cut files and tokens, and include them in paid products such as adventures and crowdfunding campaigns.
- On any plan, you may not sell or distribute our built-in art and designs on their own; use them in another tool or service; use them to train or improve an AI model, or collect them for a dataset; or claim them as your own work, including registering them as a trademark or design. The fonts in Figurekeep keep their own open-source licences.
- Our example characters (the characters in the examples on figurekeep.com and in our free try pack): you may use minis and tokens made from them in your own games, including games you run for pay. A GM may give them to the players in their own game; that is not distributing our built-in art on its own. You may not sell them or post the files publicly, on any plan.
- After Pro ends, what you made while you had Pro stays licensed for commercial use. What you make after that is licensed for personal use.
This licence covers only our part. It gives you no rights in art that belongs to someone else.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use Figurekeep to:
- infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights;
- make content that is illegal where you live, including any sexual content involving minors;
- attack, overload or probe our servers, or get around Pro limits, licence checks or the device limit;
- decompile, disassemble or reverse-engineer the Figurekeep software or the AI model files we host, or try to extract their code or model weights, except where the law allows it despite this term. This does not limit your rights under the open-source licences of the components they cover;
- copy, resell or redistribute the Figurekeep software or its files (including AI model files we host) as your own product, or use our built-in art beyond what section 6 allows.
8. Our software
We, and our licensors, own Figurekeep: its code, design, name and logo. These terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it while you follow them. Figurekeep includes open-source components and AI models under their own licences; those licences apply to those components.
9. Changes and availability
We improve Figurekeep often, so features may change. We try to keep the site available but can't promise it will always be. The app needs an internet connection to open. If it can't reach our licence service, Pro keeps working for up to 14 days.
10. No warranty
Figurekeep is provided "as is". We work hard on cutout quality and accurate print sizes, but we can't guarantee every result will be perfect for every image, printer or cutting machine. Always check the 1-inch test square before printing a full sheet.
11. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as wasted paper, ink or cardstock, or lost time), and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
12. Ending
You can stop using Figurekeep at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Sections 5, 6, 8, 10, 11 and 13 continue after these terms end.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Please contact us first at support@figurekeep.com; most problems are solved quickly that way. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer law where you live.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell Pro customers by email or in the app before they take effect.
